Secondary Special education teachers using the Brigance will learn how to utilize this assessment tool in assisting students for a successful transition into adult life, assessing student’s mastery of skills within the key skill areas identified by the IDEA guidelines for Indicator 13.

Participants will learn what text-dependent writing (TDW) is, learn the modes of writing the TDW item will assess at each grade-level, how the TDW aligns to standards, and the expecations of the TDW rubric.
