ID Moderate teachers will be provided an overview of the Unique Learning Systems products. Learning targets consist of topics covering monthly curriculum items using Unique, visual supports using Symbol Stix, and current news articles using News 2 You.
Participants will learn how to create IEPs, enter progress monitoring data, complete appropriate transfer paperwork, and document reevaluation/eligibility determinations in EDPlan SC, the new SC state IEP software system. Participants will engage in hands-on practice in the new system, and will walk-through creating and finalizing an IEP, Transfer Statement of Comparable Services, and a reevaluation eligibility. Participants will learn to use this technology tool to document differentiated instruction for students with special needs, through the development of IEP goals and classroom instructional goals for individual students that will align with lesson planning and specialized instructional strategies.

This session provides newer teachers with the opportunity to discuss problematic recurring behaviors and offers new ways to frame and support interventions that satisfy both student and educator needs in the general educational classroom.
